Wendell Cox, Principal of Demographia, an international public policy firm, recently completed a study titled Local Democracy in Ohio: A Review of City, Village and Township Financial Performance by Size. The report concluded that townships spend less, tax less and incur less debt than other local governments in the same population categories.
