A Way For The Youth To Be Involved

MISSION STATEMENT:

"Developing the youth of today, to meet the needs of the community tomorrow"

The Sugarcreek Township Fire Departments, Explorer Post 70 is overseen by the Explorer Post's Chief Adviser, Captain Joshua Johnson.  This program is open to boys & girls ages 14-21.

Exploring is a program to familiarize teenage boys and girls with the Emergency Medical, Fire and Rescue services.  This youth organization is a stepping-stone for those who wish to become Emergency Medical Technicians, Paramedics or Firefighters.

Our program will offer a wide variety of training and programs that will prepare you for this type of public service.  Regardless of your career choice, the experience gained will better prepare you for the future. Our program will teach leadership skills, teamwork, and civic values.  In addition, the explorer post will build team working skills, camaraderie and new friendships.

You will gain an understanding of the daily operations of the fire department and you will be able to do a majority of the same day-to-day activities and training alongside professional Sugarcreek Township Fire Department, Firefighters, EMT's and Paramedics.

The cost of this program is $75.00 (annual fees).

If you have any questions or would like more information please contact Captain Joshua Johnson.
