Below you will find a list of these events and activities, as well as links to partner agencies offering additional programming. At the very bottom of the page is a list of regularly scheduled meetings of the various the township boards and committees. |
Annual Lions Club Festival Every August thousands people from Bellbrook and surrounding communities attend the Bellbrook Lions Club Festival. The 2008 festival will be held Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, August 14th, 15th and 16th at Sugarcreek Elementary School. Growing your own garden can be great family fun and it doesn't get much easier than reserving your plot in the Sugarcreek Township Community Garden, conveniently located behind the Township Administration Office at 2090 Ferry Road. Each plot is clearly marked and tilled, ready for your seeds or plantings. We even provide water tanks close by for watering your crops throughout the season. Contact Karen Shroyer at 848-8426 to reserve your plot today! Plots may also be reserved by visiting the Open Space Advisory Committee booth at the Sugar Maple Festival.

The Bellbrook-Sugarcreek Family Resource Center will be selling raffle tickets for $1 each or $5 for six for a Henry Schile framed lithograph valued at $550-$700. The raffle will run March 20th through August 4th. Tickets can be purchased from the Family Resource Center, 51 S. East Street, Bellbrook. Please call in advance before visiting, 848-3810.

Learn the “Thriller" Dance! Two High School students will be teaching the dance at the Family Resource Center. This program is FREE and open to Bellbrook-Sugarcreek residents or those who work in Bellbrook/Sugarcreek. Youth must be age 7 or older. Families are welcome. A permission form is required. Minors may attend without parents if a permission form is completed in advance. Classes will be held August 4 – 20, 2008 on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. at 51 S. East Street in Bellbrook (old Sugarcreek Elementary). For more information contact Susan Lopez at 848-3810. A performance, to be announced later, will be held on August 21 or 22. |

Project ChildSafe reminds gun owners to:
- Properly store firearms in the home
- Practice safe firearm storage options in the home
- Make certain that firearms in the home are not casually accessible to anyone --- especially a child.
Project ChildSafe provides safety kits that include:
- a cable-style gun locking device;
- lock installment instructions: and
- a safety booklet.
Project ChildSafe encourages gun owners to get a safety kit from participating law enforcement partners. The Sugarcreek Township Police Department is a participating agency. Free firearm safety kits are available at the Police Department during normal business hours. Firearms safety is everyone's responsibility. |

Sugarcreek Township Board of Zoning Appeals: Meeting held the fourth Thursday of each month, beginning at 7:00 p.m. View the 2008 BZA Meeting Schedule. *Please note some meeting dates fall on days other than the fourth Thursday (i.e. Special Meetings or meetings rescheduled to avoid conflicting with holidays). Please check the meeting schedule to confirm dates of scheduled meetings.
